Winning Triple J Unearthed High in 2022 properly introduced the Australian music industry to 16 year old Melbourne musician Jacoténe. Her music and voice, espousing maturity and sonic potential beyond her years, Jacoténe was quick to snatch up the attention of programmers at the youth broadcaster, and now has made a name for herself as one of Australia’s exciting new voices.
With sonic influences ranging from Gorillaz to Amy Winehouse and Adele, Jacoténe’s music is rooted in eclectic arrangements, as well as rich and full-depth vocals. A natural storyteller, Jacoténe has already experienced a lot in life; overcoming a battle with leukemia provided the artist early inspiration to chase her dreams.
