At Wanderer Festival, we’re dedicated to inspiring sustainability awareness across all generations while continuously raising the bar on our environmental goals year after year.
Our festival site and campgrounds operate completely landfill-free. We provide comprehensive composting and recycling stations throughout the venue. Education is key to our success, and our waste warriors are on site to assist our festival community.
We’re committed to delivering an exceptional festival experience while helping you minimise your environmental footprint every step of the way.
The environmental consciousness of our Wanderer community fills us with pride. Our successful ‘leave no trace’ policy from 2023 serves as inspiration to keep learning, improving, and innovating.
In 2025, we’ll continue to champion a planet-positive future. Together, we’re working toward a zero-landfill festival that proves large-scale events can coexist harmoniously with environmental responsibility.
There will be no bins for landfill. If you bring any items that can only go to landfill, please take them home with you. We will have green-lid bins for organic compostable material for FOGO (Food Organics Garden Organics) and yellow-lid bins for recyclables. Our waste warriors from the green team will be on-site to guide you!
Please place food waste into the appropriate bin at zero waste bin stations.
Campers will have hot wash stations to clean any reusable items brought from home. Reusable bottles and cups are available for purchase if you forgot to bring one.
Compostable and recyclable coffee cups and food packaging will be used by vendors. Reusable cups will be available at the bar.
Enjoy the free water refill stations located around the festival. Check the festival map for locations.
Our green team will assist in the diversion of waste from landfill and production of compost.
