Montaigne is an Australian artist who has been pushing the boundaries of pop music for years, a particular peak coming with the release of their debut album Glorious Heights in 2016; continuing to ascend in following years. The release of their sophomore album, Complex, saw Montaigne demonstrate their evolution as a songwriter and performer – offering up some of their most personal and thought provoking songwriting to date.
On a global scale, Montaigne’s profile took leaps forward internationally in 2020, when they were selected to represent Australia at Eurovision, winning the Eurovision: Australia Decides competition with their original song, ‘Don’t Break Me’. They eventually returned to the competition during its completion post-pandemic in 2021, competing in Rotterdam with their single, ‘Technicolour’.
