Formed in 1999 with the hope of winning themselves a $5 canteen voucher in the Eden High School talent quest (they lost). Petrol Bomb are just as surprised as you, to find themselves now into their third decade of trying to bring metal back to the far south coast.
This six-piece group of Merimbula/Pambula locals formed their sound on a diet of 90’s metal, Californian punk and small town folklore. They have developed a reputation for energetic live shows, excessive use of props and biting social commentary, gaining a committed following amongst fellow riff enthusiasts. Petrol Bomb released their first full length album ‘Deathride to Hell’ in 2007, followed by the release of the single ‘Cans’ in 2013. They are currently working on an EP of new material.
After a few years off, Petrol Bomb are back for a balls to the wall onslaught of heavy riffs and rock and roll. Let’s fire up the amps.
