The Thin White Ukes bring the music of David Bowie to life; a striking and fitting tribute to the iconic Starman. The Melbourne trio take one of popular music’s most beloved and diverse catalogues and reassemble selections, creating arrangements that highlight the group’s three-part vocal harmonies and acoustic setting.
Formed in 2015, the Thin White Ukes initially was the idea of Betty France, Michael Dwyer and Robert Stephens – originally coming together to open the David Bowie Is… exhibition in Melbourne. From there, the project grew in renown and popularity. It has been staged right across Australia, and has travelled internationally, taking in cabaret festivals, folk festivals and more!
