First up, we have good news for those only able to make it to Wanderer on Saturday – a limited release of Saturday single day tickets have just gone on sale. Saturday only tickets had not been released earlier to keep the audience size as even as possible throughout the weekend, it’s a planning thing. But with around 90% of tickets now sold, each day is looking more even than Mia Wallace’s fringe.. (points for knowing who that is…) and that’s given us a little flexibility that we didn’t have before. Most people have snapped up the 3 and 2 day tickets for maximum Wanderer goodness, but we understand not everyone can make the whole weekend and we didn’t want anyone to miss out on what Lonnie Holley has in store for us….Arriving early to soak up the people and place of Pambula Beach, Lonnie Holley will use this inspiration to create a whole set of new songs just for his performance at Wanderer Festival! Art doesn’t get much more real than that! Travelling from the USA, Lonnie Holley is an internationally renowned visual artist and musician found in many a music critics bucket list and sought after by acclaimed collaborators (Bon Iver, Michael Stipe, Moor Mother, Sharon Van Etten, Rokia Koné and renowned producer Jacknife Lee). Checkout the program for all the other Saturday artists including Spiderbait, Django Django (UK), Montaigne, Haiku Hands, Steph Strings, Kim Churchill and so so so many more.
Friday flavours are just as rich with The Jungle Giants, Thelma Plum, Son Little (USA), Ben Lee, Jacoténe, C.W. Stoneking and loads more whilst the Sunday session hits the spot with Ocean Alley, Sampa The Great (ZM), Kevin Morby (USA), Melbourne Ska Orchestra, Northeast Party House and the list goes on!
Perfect festival weather is forecast with the region’s sunny days set to continue throughout the event and promising a weekend that is not to be missed.
In a huge new initiative we have proudly partnered with B-Alternative in working towards a zero-landfill sustainability goal. Food vendors will be using reusable cutlery, crockery and drinking cups with the festival running an onsite washing services and education program on recycling and waste stream sorting.
Car pooling and cycling to the event is encouraged! As is using the dedicated festival bus service. Tickets for Pambula Beach, Pambula and South Pambula can be bought from Moshtix and you can book a spot online directly from Sapphire Coast Buslines for Eden, Merimbula, Tura Beach, Kalaru, Tathra, Bega and Wolumla.
